Colonel Ismael Ortiz, Jr. former Deputy Assistant Secretary U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Services (VETS) Named President and Managing Partner of Be A Hero-Hire A Hero (Be3H)

Be A Hero-Hire A Hero (Be3H), is proud to announce Colonel Ismael Ortiz, Jr., former Deputy Assistant Secretary U.S. Department of
Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Services (VETS), as
President and Managing Partner.

Colonel Ortiz will be spearheading Be A Hero-Hire A Hero's
"Greatness Leadership Program" in his new role, and will continue
his mission to educate the private and public sectors on the
importance of integrating the diverse community of service members into their workforce through his industry defining educational series, based upon his years of leadership in the military and government.

"Every single day the potential these young men and women can bring to any job is rooted in that they were taught to be GREAT!", summarized Colonel Ortiz. "Be A Hero-Hire A Hero operates under 3 Core Principles -Educate, Recruit and Retain. We help employers integrate these 3 core principles into their hiring strategy to help make the Veterans' transition from the military to the corporate environment seamless."

As President and Managing Partner of Be A Hero-Hire a Hero, Colonel Ortiz works with corporations to evaluate and implement alternative solutions that help to build a cultural base
for transitioning veterans into the private sector by promoting their value proposition, skills
and diversity.

Through the Be A Hero - Hire A Hero Greatness Leadership Programs, Colonel Ortiz will help leaders focus on cultural transformation and change management of the human talent within the corporation, and help to develop strategic plans needed to recruit, hire, and retain veterans based on its operational or business needs.

About Colonel Ismael Ortiz Jr.

Mr. Junior Ortiz is a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Marines and the former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Veterans Employment. His professional career spans over 30 years of working in government, corporate and the nonprofit sector. His responsibilities have ranged from leading thousands of Marines to managing fiscal budgets of hundreds of millions of dollars and helping to pass critical legislation.

Mr. Ortiz served as an enlisted man before being accepted to the United States Naval Academy. His twenty-seven year career in the Marines encompassed many diverse assignments that ranged from Administration, Communication, Counter-drug Operations, Recruiting, Marketing and Advertising for the Marine Corps to professor and coach at the Naval Academy.

Mr. Ortiz was the Principal advisor to the Secretary of Labor where he designed and implemented all policies and procedures for Veterans employment, training, and transition assistance.

Mr. Ortiz was the Director of Brand Relations for AARP where he designed, developed and implemented marketing and advertising programs, particularly aimed at multicultural communities.

Mr. Ortiz was Director of Government Relations for MBNA America where he was responsible for analyzing impacting legislation and community relations within emerging markets for the financial sector.

Mr. Ortiz has a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Mr. Ortiz has served on numerous Corporate Board of Advisors, Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of Associations and organizations throughout the United States. He is a Life Member of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation and the American GI Forum of the United States.
